Heirloom Tales depicts a gathering of characters and symbolism from a handful of folk and fairy tales. Some of them are obvious and others more obscure. Some (but not all) include Mimir, Moirai (the Fates), Selkie, Kelpie, Dragon, Oni and Yurei, as well as references to The Three Billy Goats Gruff, The Three Snake Leaves, Red Riding Hood The Three Little Pigs, Pinocchio, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, The Elves and the Shoemaker, Jack and the Beanstalk, The Golden Goose, The Spirit in the Glass Bottle, Cinderella, Snow White, Aladdin, The Gingerbread Man and The Nightingale.
