Lauren T Kistner

I am motivated by the line, color, and texture of experiences, people, places and things in memories, and the ambiguity between looking and seeing. I explore and alter these images for the canvas into the three fundamentals I am interested in. My painting makes use of a process that allows the works to oxidize and change long after I am finished. My creative act is merely to set the paintings in motion. They are about innocence, growth, imperfection and contentment.
