Beware the Wendigo. The Native American cannibal spirit has taken on a new form in recent years, becoming more of a cryptid than a tale of caution towards cannibalism. The Wendigo has gone from a gaunt, pale man inhabited by a malevolent spirit, to a sickly and large elk-skulled beast.
