Greetings, fellow Hitchhikers!
This coming Wednesday, May 25th, is a very important day for all intergalactic freeloaders… It’s Towel Day!
Towel Day is celebrated by fans of author Douglas Adams’ work. As we are the ultimate fandom shop (and we do love his work), we decided we needed to have a celebration every year! On Towel Day, fans are encouraged to carry around “the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have” which is, of course, your trusty towel!
We figured we should make it easy on everyone and have cotton tea towels with the ever so sage advice of “DON’T PANIC” emblazoned on them in magnificent screen-printed glory. For six consecutive years celebrating Towel Day, we’ve made these immensely important instruments of interplanetary travel by hand and had them available for those who stop by or shop online! This year we will have towels available for the first forty-two customers to make a purchase of $25 or more, and a little extra gift for those that spend $42 or more!
Here are a few of our favorite products when it comes to Hitchhiker’s Guide!
From Out of Print comes one of our softest t-shirts, a cotton-poly blend with a distressed full-color print. What more do you want?!
From Boise based vendor Doughboy’s Attic we have fandom-inspired, 3D printed cookie cutters! If you don’t have your “electronic thumb” to signal to passing spacecraft, maybe baking some Hitchhiker’s cookies will convince them to take you along?
